Effective recruitment is the backbone of every strong organization, and Odoo makes this process smooth and efficient. With its structured applicant flow, Odoo automatically creates applicant cards, tracks progression from screening to interviews, and helps hiring teams move candidates through each stage with ease.

However, in today’s fast-paced job market, great candidates don’t stay available for long. Many businesses lose potential hires simply because they don’t have a system in place to track, store, and reconnect with promising profiles later.

This is exactly where the Odoo 19 Talent Pool proves invaluable.

What Is the Talent Pool in Odoo 19?

Odoo 19 introduces the Talent Pool as a smart, proactive feature that helps companies maintain long-term connections with high-potential candidates.

The talent pool functions as a curated collection of individuals who may not suit an open role right now but are worth considering in the future. These may include:

  • Applicants from previous job openings
  • Employee referrals
  • Candidates met at events
  • Individuals who submit unsolicited CVs

Instead of losing track of them, Odoo stores these profiles in a dedicated, centralized space. This creates a living, ready-to-use network of potential employees, allowing HR teams to plan ahead rather than react under pressure.

Why Talent Pools Matter

A well-maintained talent pool offers several advantages:

  • Faster Hiring: Roles can be filled quickly by revisiting pre-screened candidates.
  • Better Quality of Hire: Only trusted or previously evaluated candidates are re-engaged.
  • Improved Candidate Experience: People appreciate companies that remember them for future opportunities.
  • Recruitment Automation: Odoo streamlines communication, categorization, reminders, and follow-ups.
  • Balanced Strategy: Teams can maintain both long-term talent pools and immediate shortlists for urgent roles.

Overall, Odoo 19 transforms recruitment into a more strategic, organized, and future-ready process.
